How to have a festival at home

Music

The music is usually the most important part of any festival, so make sure you have your perfect playlist sorted! Introduce your little ones to some of your old favourites, or bop along with your CBeebies friends. Join in with some classics at the nursery rhyme stage or have a disco boogie with the Go Jetters! Sing along with BBC 6 Music host and festival favourite Lauren Laverne in these catchy songs from Tee and Mo.

Form your own band

If you’ve always dreamed of one day headlining a festival, then now is your chance! Make your own music kit and get jamming together, form your very own teddy bear band or mix your own tunes with Andy's Safari Sounds.

Get the look

Perfecting your festival look is one of the most fun parts of the experience, and super easy to do at home. Just get the dressing up box or some old clothes out and go wild! Little ones love creating their own outfits, and they'll be even happier if they can choose what the grown-ups wear too. It doesn’t really matter what you wear as long as you combine it with wellies and some fancy headwear, like this simple flower crown from the Let’s Go Club.

Home comforts

Set up a tent in your back garden or local park for the day, or snuggle up with sleeping bags and ‘camp’ in the living room together. This is a great way to start preparing little ones for future camping trips when they're older. Plus, avoiding the mud, rain and portaloos is always a bonus!

Family fun

Festivals aren’t just about music and camping. They often run special activities for young children, such as sensory play or craft tents. We have lots of easy mess-free activities here on the CBeebies website that you can play together at your home festival. Help Duggee make a summer badge or try putting together a summer jigsaw.
