Work under way for hospital's new emergency centre
University of Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust said pedestrians would have to walk around the construction site to get to and from the Emergency Department

Visitors to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth are being warned of disruption due to building works.
It is the first stage of work to build a new urgent and emergency care facility and fracture clinic.
University of Plymouth Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust (UHPNT) said the work, adjacent to the emergency department, would take three weeks and warned of "possible disruptions".
The pavement above Plym Children's Theatre will be removed permanently, according to the trust.

The new urgent treatment centre is set to open this winter, followed by the fracture clinic.
Pedestrians have been advised to walk around the construction site to get to and from the emergency department.
Temporary barriers and fencing have also been put in place for the works.
University of Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust said the Site Electric Bus will be available to staff and patients if required
UHPNT said the new facility represents phase one of an "ambitious, long term redevelopment programme at Derriford".
"These enabling works include foundation placement, the completion of a new medical gas store and the build of a new ramp in the ambulance courtyard to enable further groundworks to take place."
