An event that sees runners showered in colourful powder is set to return to Wolverhampton.

The Beacon Centre for the Blind is bringing back its Family Fun Colour Run to East Park on 12 May.

Those taking part will complete a 5km (3.1 miles) course in a bid to raise money for the sight loss charity.

Last year, runners raised more than £4,000.

Sarah Dovey, the charity's fundraising coordinator, said: "Our Family Fun Colour Run is one of our biggest and most colourful events of the year.

"We are incredibly grateful for the support of our participants, whose generosity helps ensure that no one has to face sight loss alone."
