Guernsey group in RHS Britain in Bloom finalists

Guernsey's Floral Forest Group is among the 52 finalists for the 2024 RHS Britain in Bloom competition.

This is the 60th year of the UK's biggest gardening competition.

The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) looks to assess participating groups' commitments to improving their local environment, community engagement, and horticultural excellence.

The Floral Forest Group won the gold award in the 2022 competition.

In 2023, the group won the gold award for the community competition and the Forest Douzaine Room, which allowed them to be nominated for this year's Britain in Bloom competition.

Members said they aimed to not only promote gardening and flowers, but also to work on improving the environment, keeping the island clean, and having sustainable planting schemes.
