Police have launched an appeal for information following a spate of break-ins in the Badenoch and Strathspey area.

Nine incidents have been reported in total, with the three most recent all taking place at Craig Na Gower Avenue in Aviemore.

The thefts took place between Tuesday 19 March and Sunday 24 March, with jewellery, electronics and cash taken.

Earlier this month, homes elsewhere in Aviemore, Newtonmore and Kingussie were also targeted.

Det Insp Calum Reid said officers were keeping an open mind about whether the incidents were linked.

Police are urging members of the public to be vigilant and report anything out of the ordinary.
