Four Greenpeace activists who climbed the roof of Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's home in North Yorkshire have pleaded not guilty to criminal damage.

Michael Grant, 64, Mathieu Soete, 38, Amy Rugg-Easey, 33, and Alexandra Wilson, 32, appeared at York Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

They were charged after the protest in Kirby Sigston on 3 August last year.

All four were granted bail and a two-day trial is due to take place at the same court on 23 and 24 July.

Mr Sunak and his family were on holiday in the US at the time of the protest.
