Porthcawl: Steven Chappell denies murder after death near pub

A man has denied murder after another man died from his injuries following an incident in a pub in Bridgend county.

Daniel Bradley, 32, died in hospital on 23 September after a reported assault near the Brogden pub on New Road, Porthcawl, on 8 September.

Steven Chappell, 28, of Cwmdare, Rhondda Cynon Taf, denied murder and manslaughter at a hearing at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court on Friday.

He was remanded in custody with a trial date set for 10 June.
