'The Tortured Poets Department' was released this week and was quickly revealed to be a double album.

What have 'The Tortured Poets Department' surprises been so far?

The first album dropped at 12am on 19 April but at 2am the singer announced an additional 15 songs in a second instalment.

Taylor said: "I'd written so much tortured poetry in the past 2 years and wanted to share it all with you".

That takes the total number of tracks to 31 - that's a lot of listening time!

What is Taylor Swift's 'secret' message?

While Taylor sings about heartbreak in her newly released songs, she's said to have sent a happy message to vinyl stores.

This was to celebrate Record Store Day, which is held on 20 April.

Some stores were giving the limited edition messages away when people purchased an album.

Pictures of the letters posted online read: "Happy Record Store Day!!

"Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for welcoming The Tortured Poets Department into your vinyl collection and your life.

"It's my goal to create a memento you'll want to keep forever, and I hope you'll feel that with every turn of the page of the lyric book, every secret thought poured into this work. It's an honour to be able to trust you with my feelings. Love, Taylor."

Taylor's album has been breaking records since its release

Has 'The Tortured Poets Department' broken records?

The album broke the record for Spotify's most-streamed album in a single day, the platform said.

The pop sensation also became the most-streamed artist in a single day.

The song 'Fortnight' featuring Post Malone took the title for most-streamed song in a day too.

Taylor's 11th studio album means there will be more material to add to the star's Eras tour, which hits Europe this summer.
