About

Outdoor Detectives is BBC Northern Ireland’s exciting new project to encourage primary aged children to get out of the classroom and choose their own local adventure.

Launching with four films, we meet teachers and pupils who have used the NI curriculum’s The World Around Us area of learning to answer questions about the world by looking at local topics in geography, history, and science.

They include rock pooling in Portrush, trees and forests in Ballyclare, historical monuments in Comber and WW2 in Kilkeel. You can see the films here, or search for Outdoor Detectives on the BBC iPlayer.
