Myra Anubi: Meet our presenter

Myra Anubi is the presenter of People Fixing the World on the BBC World Service. A broadcaster with more than a decade's worth of experience, Myra is passionate about solutions journalism and highlighting the people and projects tackling the most pressing challenges we face today.

Growing up in Kenya, Myra worked for many years in commercial radio and for the international broadcaster Deutsche Welle. Moving to the UK in 2020, Myra went on to work with The Times, Spotify and fintech company NALA.

In 2023, Myra moderated a panel at the Women's Institute National Conference which included former British Prime Minister Theresa May. She also spoke to King Charles about global change makers at a reception held at Buckingham Palace.

Myra remains committed to positive change and amplifying the voices of others. In 2019, she started a social enterprise called Ask Mama to help young women and mothers get quality information about maternal healthcare in western Kenya.

Away from work, Myra enjoys spending time with her husband Charles and children Zani and Malcolm.
