Lagos Fashion Week

Omoyemi Akerele trained as a lawyer but later decided to become a stylist. In 2011, she founded Lagos Fashion Week and helped put Nigerian style on the map.

The annual four-day event launched the international careers of models, stylists and designers and has become a major fashion occasion attracting Africa's biggest celebs and a global audience.
