Ireland v Scotland: Bryce sisters star as Scots earn consolation T20 win over Irish

A third-wicket partnership of 111 between sisters Sarah and Kathryn Bryce helped Scotland earn an eight-wicket consolation win over Ireland in the second T20 between the sides.

Amy Hunter smashed 68 as Ireland made 117-7 off their 20 overs.

Scotland were in trouble at 10-2 but Sarah Bryce made 57 not out and Kathryn an unbeaten 48 as Scotland reached 121-2 with five balls to spare in Almeria.

Ireland won the five-match multi-series in Spain 3-2.

The Irish ran out 2-1 victors in the one-day international series and then took victory in the first of the two T20s on Monday.

Opener Hunter racked up her score off just 54 balls, hitting 10 fours as wickets fell regularly around her.

Priyanaz Chatterji (2-18) and Hannah Rainey (2-21) were the pick of the Scottish bowlers.

Following the early departures of Chatterji (2) and Darcey Carter (6) within the first four overs, the Bryce sisters combined to secure victory for their side.

Sarah scored her 57 off 44 balls, including one six and six fours, with Kathryn contributing 48 off 52.
