Glamorgan pair Ben Kellaway and Alex Horton sign contract extensions

Glamorgan all-rounder Ben Kellaway scored 195 runs and took 13 wickets in the 2023 One Day Cup
All-rounder Ben Kellaway and wicketkeeper Alex Horton have signed contract extensions with Glamorgan.
Newport-born academy product Horton, 19, has signed a further year extension, keeping him at the Welsh county until at least 2025.
Kellaway, also 19 and from Newport, has signed a three-year contract extension up to 2026, having made his debut in all three formats in 2023.
"It has been a really special first year at the club," said Kellaway.
"I am just really excited to be continuing my journey over the next couple of years.
"It was quite surreal last year. The targets I set myself early on have been exceeded pretty well I would say, but there is work to do.
"Making my debut in each format was the highlight of my whole season."
After impressing in the second XI, Kellaway made his T20 debut against local rivals Gloucestershire before scoring 82 on his List A debut against Worcestershire.
His introduction to first-class cricket came at Worcestershire in September and Kellaway played in two County Championship games in all.
Glamorgan director of cricket Mark Wallace said: "Ben has already enjoyed some success in his short career at the club and we're delighted that he's re-signed at the club for the next three years.
"Ben will balance university with his time with us and we look forward to him continuing his development here moving forward."
Glamorgan wicketkeeper Alex Horton has also played for England Under-19s and Wales Minor Counties
Horton is yet to make his first-class debut for Glamorgan but has played seven List A games and four T20 games for Glamorgan.
"It is amazing to sign a new contract with Glamorgan and I am looking forward to seeing what next season holds," said Horton, who signed his first contract with the club as a 16-year-old.
"Making a start last season with my first-team debuts and playing in the One Day Cup was nice, and I am hoping to carry that on next season and play a few more games for my home county."
A middle-order batter as well as wicketkeeper, Horton hit a match-winning 44 not out off 25 balls in Glamorgan's final One Day Cup game of the 2023 season against Northamptonshire.
"It's great news that Alex has re-signed for the next two years," said Wallace.
"We are very lucky with the wicketkeepers that we have at the club and we look forward to seeing Alex continue to develop his talent here over the next few years."
