Steve Kirby: Former fast bowler returns to Somerset for second coaching spell

Steve Kirby left Somerset in 2022 to take up the role of lead bowling coach with Zimbabwe
Former Somerset fast bowler Steve Kirby is to return to the club for a second spell as bowling coach.
Kirby took 180 wickets for Somerset between 2011 and 2014 before being forced to retire from playing with an ongoing shoulder injury.
He spent two years as bowling coach at the club before taking up the equivalent job with the Zimbabwe national side in 2022.
"I've learned so much during my time away," Kirby said.
"Working in such a rewarding and humbling country has taught me so much, in particular in the areas of man-management.
"The benefits of this experience will certainly aid me in any coaching role in the future and I can't wait to be able to bring these skills to Taunton, and help support what is an amazing squad of players."
Somerset director of cricket Andy Hurry added: "[Steve] returns to us having gained international experience, as well as insight into working in different environments at the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup.
"We very much look forward to seeing the knowledge that he has gained from this experience being shared with the playing group."
