Elite League: Cardiff Devils 4-0 Sheffield Steelers

Cardiff Devils beat Sheffield Steelers 4-0 to deny the Elite League leaders title glory at Vindico Arena.

After a scoreless opening period, Trevor Cox and Brandon Alderson struck to put Cardiff in command in the second period.

Jamie Arniel and Joey Martin completed the rout in the third period - which prolongs Sheffield's wait to clinch the title.

The Devils return to action against Nottingham Panthers on Sunday.

Steelers will have to wait until Sunday at the earliest to be crowned league winners. They visit Nottingham on Saturday before hosting Guildford Flames 24 hours later.
