How do I change how my information is used?

Updated: 25 May 2018

This is called the right to restrict processing. It is the right to ask us to only use or store your information for certain purposes.

If you have a BBC account

We want to give you more of what you love. But if you don't want us to use your information to personalise your BBC experience online you can turn off personalisation.

What about other information?

This depends on the type of personal information we hold. You’ll need to contact us explaining the details of what you want to help us find it.

Sometimes we can change how we use your information, but other times it’s just not possible, like if the law tells us we can’t.
