How to avoid being distracted by notifications!

Have you ever noticed how much harder it is to properly concentrate on your homework, reading, drawing or even watching films if you have your phone by your side? Just the presence of it makes you want to pick it up and open your favourite app.

And when you keep receiving notifications, messages, calls, updates, it’s almost impossible not to look at them and really focus on what you’re doing. All these notifications put your brain in alert mode, which means it won’t be able to focus on just one thing, but rather will be paying attention to pretty much everything happening in the room. And there’s nothing worse than spending two hours at your desk working on a task you could have easily done in 10 minutes!

So, why don’t you just set some boundaries for yourself? Maybe you could make it a rule that you physically leave your phone in another room while you’re studying, or you could turn off notifications.
