Behind Madagascar’s 'octopus garden' experiment

Coastal communities in Madagascar traditionally fish octopus for a living. When the octopus population began to dwindle due to environmental changes, an experiment began.

Big areas were closed off for months to let the wildlife regenerate, and the results were so positive that coastal communities in other countries and continents began replicating the experiment
