Why heatwaves have become the number one 'silent killer'

The number of devastating heatwaves happening around the world are alarming. Over 67,000 people are hospitalised each year in the US alone due to heat, and over 700,000 hectares of forest in Europe have been lost to wildfires since 2022.

But what overall impact is heat having on our bodies? And does heat affect everyone in the same way? Cagney Roberts explores.
