All-rounder Jack Taylor has been reappointed Gloucestershire's white-ball captain for the 2024 season.

Taylor stepped down from the role as T20 captain last June after four years, with Miles Hammond taking over.

Graeme van Buuren will continue as the club's County Championship captain for a third campaign.

"Both have previous experience in these roles and have convinced me that they have the desire to continue," said head coach Mark Alleyne.

"It's important we have some stability within the leadership group, especially with so many changes to the support coaching group."

Taylor, 32, signed a new deal with Gloucestershire in December to keep him at the club until the end of the 2026 season.

He was man of the match when the side won the 2015 One-Day Cup final and led the side to Finals Day in 2020, his first year as captain.

"There's a great feel amongst the camp after a successful tour to South Africa," Taylor said.

"We have some great options across the squad to compete in both the T20 and 50-over competitions, along with the overseas additions."

Gloucestershire begin their 2024 Division Two County Championship campaign on 5 April at Derbyshire.
