Brian McCormack: Irishman 'confident of top 10 return' at Isle of Man TT

Racer Brian McCormack has said he is "confident" of getting back into the top 10 at the 2024 Isle of Man TT.
McCormack, who is the second fastest Irishman around the course behind Mike Browne, secured his best finish in 2019 with ninth in the Senior.
He said he would be "looking for more in 2024" as the team's "whole season is built around it".
"I know where I need to improve so hopefully I'll get it all together," the 40-year-old added.
The Irishman has been competing at the June event since 2010 and had just recorded his best finish in the races in 2019 when the coronavirus pandemic led to the cancellation of the event for the following two years.
On his performance at last year's event he said it "went ok" with some "solid, consistent results", but things "didn't really click".
"It wasn't through the lack of trying and with 2022 not being great either, I'm delighted to have everyone's support again and be heading back this year with new machinery," he continued.
'Still pinching myself'
It has been confirmed McCormack will once again be riding for Roadhouse Macau by FHO, competing in the Superbike, Superstock and Senior TT races, this year on a BMW M1000RR.
And for the 2024 event he will be joined at the team by fellow Irishman Eoin O'Siochru, who is set to make his TT debut.
The pair will take part in the Supersport and Supertwin races under the Global Robots banner on Triumph and Aprilia machinery respectively.
O'Siochru, who first took to the 37.7-mile (60km) Mountain Course at the Manx Grand Prix in 2022, said: "I just can't wait to get going."
The 32-year-old said: "The TT's been an absolute dream of mine for as long as I can remember, and when I first visited the island and saw the bikes go by I knew it was what I wanted to do.
"Getting to do the TT this year with a team as professional as Roadhouse Macau and with an experienced rider as Brian is something that I can only have dreamed of.
"I'm still pinching myself now trying to believe it's true."
The Isle of Man TT races are set to take place between 27 May and 8 June this year.
