What is it like to see a solar eclipse?

Solar eclipses typically happen a couple of times a year, but what is it like to actually see one?

Here’s photographer and computational mechanist Ross McClendon to let us know.

A full solar eclipse will be visible across parts of Mexico, the US and Canada on Monday 8 April.

In parts of the UK, to the west of a line roughly from Plymouth to Newcastle, we will still see a partial solar eclipse – the further west the better.
