Sustainable practice: what can I do?
Re: Switching from disposable to reusable PPE - PAPR devices
Dear Editor,
I was slightly surprised to see no mention of PAPR (powered air purifying respirator) devices in this article, although I suppose it is an overview and cannot say everything.
Nevertheless, one of the many advantages that PAPR devices have over most respirator masks (including not misting up, the whole face can be seen, better protection for the wearer, comfort...) is that they are entirely reusable, with the exception of the filters - although reusable (washable) filters could probably be developed.[1]
I hope that somebody will respond to the call for articles on sustainable practice with an article describing this in more detail.[2]
