Four people are due in court after a petrol station was allegedly robbed at sword-point in Bristol. Avon and Somerset Police officers were called to a filling station on the A38 Gloucester Road, near Almondsbury, at 3am on Friday, January 19.

It was reported by petrol station staff that someone armed with a large knife or sword forced their way into the forecourt shop and stole lottery tickets before leaving in a vehicle. Nobody was hurt during the incident, the police force said in a statement.

Three teenagers and a man in his 20s were charged with robbery and possession of a knife/blade by Sunday, January 21. They are due to appear at Bristol Magistrates Court today (Monday, January 22).

Jack Henson-Jones, 25, of Bradley Stoke and Alfie Hahn, 18, of St George, along with two 17-year-olds, who legally cannot be identified, remain in custody pending their appearance before Bristol Magistrates’ Court.
