Four teenagers have been arrested following an attempted burglary in South Gloucestershire during the early hours of this morning (April 15). Avon and Somerset Police said a residential garage security alarm was activated in Winterbourne at around 1.30am.

Officers rushed to the scene and arrested four male males, aged 16 to 18, within around 30 minutes of the alarm going off. The garage, in Huckford Road, reportedly contained motorbikes.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the incident. The four teens arrested are due to be questioned today about the attempted burglary.

Sergeant Richard Humphrey said: “The victim reported what happened in the early hours of this morning after a security alarm they had installed was activated.

“Officers were quickly dispatched to the scene and following an area tour arrested four suspects, who are due to be questioned about the incident.
