Man appears in court charged with Claire Holland murder

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Claire Holland, a woman who went missing in Bristol ten years ago

Darren Osment appeared at Bristol Magistrates Court this morning, (Thursday, August 4), facing one charge of the murder of Claire Holland between June 5, 2012 and June 8, 2012.

During the brief appearance, Osment, 40, confirmed his name and date of birth, and his address as Chessel Drive in Patchway, South Gloucestershire.

With Claire's family watching on from the back of the court, District Judge Lynn Matthews told Osment, who was charged with murder last night by Avon and Somerset police, he would remanded in custody and the case would be adjourned to Bristol Crown Court tomorrow, Friday, August 5.

Claire Holland has not been seen since she went missing after a day and night out in Bristol city centre in June 2012.
