ITV's Lorraine and Good Morning Britain correspondent Ross King made a heartfelt departure from his usual Hollywood news to bid farewell to a colleague on air. While chatting with Christine Lampard, who is filling in for Lorraine Kelly, they discussed the latest Hollywood gossip, including the return of Harry and Meghan to the screen and the ongoing drama between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.

Ross, 62, took a serious turn to announce that his producer, Hannah Walker, was leaving the show. In a segment tinged with both fun dance moves and a hint of sadness, Ross told viewers: "Weird dancing but with a little bit of sadness as my wonderful pal and producer Hannah Walker, it's her last day on this show so Hannah, I want to say to you, huge hugs from Hollywood, lots of real love from La La land."

He shared his heartfelt message: "You will be missed, but we'll see you again soon enough and hope to see you again too, take care, lots of love, thanks for everything," and concluded with a loving kiss aimed at the camera. Christine Lampard warmly received the tribute, commenting: "Awww we love that," and thanked Ross for his endearing goodbye.

Ross King, hailing from Glasgow, has carved out a niche for himself in Los Angeles, becoming a staple on our screens as ITV 's Good Morning Britain's celebrity correspondent in LA since 2014, and a regular on Lorraine Kelly's show, Lorraine, since 2001. The beloved TV personality celebrated his 60th birthday in February 2022, and emotions ran high when Lorraine Kelly orchestrated a touching surprise featuring messages from his A-list friends during his usual segment on her popular ITV show, reports the Mirror.

In other news, Lorraine is currently enjoying some downtime, taking her third day off this week as part of her scheduled break. It's not unusual for her to step away from the studio during school holidays, leaving the programme in the capable hands of stand-ins such as Christine and Ranvir Singh.

However, Lorraine's time away from the show has been noted by fans, with one particularly observant Twitter user tracking her appearances, noting that she has presented just 48 of the 72 episodes aired this year.

The topic of Lorraine's regular breaks has sparked quite a conversation on social media. One viewer humorously suggested: "Surely it's time to re-name the show with this level of attendance."

Other viewers added: "#lorraine I wonder what Christine thinks when the rolling credits at the start of the programme showing Lorraine beaming at the camera, are shown."

And as it was revealed that Lorraine is about to become a granny, fans are already anticipating lots of chat about #Rosie's pregnancy on the show. One fan humorously mused: "How many months will we have to endure them talking about #Rosie pregnancy. Well at least she'll have every half term off to babysit #Lorraine."
