A murder investigation has been launched after a man was found dead at a property in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire over the weekend. Two men have been arrested following the incident yesterday (Sunday, April 14).

Police were called to reports of an incident where a man has sustained serious injuries at a property on Welland Court at about 7pm. An 80-year-old man was found with fatal wounds and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Two local men, aged 63 and 75, were arrested on suspicion of murder. They remain in police custody.

There is currently a scene guard in place, with officers remaining in the area. Officers from the major crime investigation team are in the early stages of an investigation and are appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened or has information to come forward.
