Employment company Jobseeker researched the most desired dream jobs from around Europe - including the UK. It comes as stats show only one in four UK adults are currently doing the job they dreamt of when they were at school.

Jobseeker scoured search data to find out what job are the ‘most dreamed about’. Looking at international search volume for top job-related searches, it uncovered the ten most popular dream jobs.

With around 50,000 monthly searches, a pilot was named the number one dream job - and it happens to be the UK’s top choice too. Although the career offers people the chance to travel across the world, it does however require extensive training and adherence to strict safety regulations.

Pilots often face irregular working hours too, and the need to adapt to new technologies and regulations. But the earning potential is significant, with the average UK salary for a pilot being £42,000.

The second most desired job is a flight attendant, keeping in with the theme of a mile-high life. With opportunities to travel without having the responsibility of flying a plane, flight attendants have become a highly attractive job.

However, again it means you’ll be dealing with irregular shifts and time zone changes. The average salary for a flight attendant in the UK is £26,500.
