If you’re feeling a case of the Easter blues and looking for a little pick-me-up, going out for a tasty meal might be just the thing. But with payday still a few weeks away, you might be looking for some good offers to save some pennies.

We’ve got kids eating free, discounts for hospitality workers and reduced lunch menus. Here’s a round-up of some of the best food and drink deals in Bristol at the moment:

Four Wise Monkeys, Clare Street, Old City

Soak up the feeling of 1980s Tokyo in Four Wise Monkey’s Asian ‘super diner’. As part of their £10 lunch deal, you can choose from their juicy KFC bun or their new roast pumpkin burger, both served with a portion of fries.

They also have a special ‘Dim-Sunday’ offer from 2-4pm. If you order three dim sum plates, you get a pint of Asahi on the house.

Crafty Cow, Gloucester Road

There’s lots of offers to choose from at the Crafty Cow. Midweek you can enjoy a beer and burger for £14 on Mondays, there’s 2-4-1 pizzas on Wednesdays from 5-9pm and on their Thursday ‘Steak Night’ you can get two steaks for just £20.

On Saturdays, kids can also eat free from 12-3pm.

Palomar, Gloucester Road

Claiming to serve Bristol’s best seafood boil, Palomar serves everything from traditional fish and chips to monkfish katsu.

They host ‘Industry Nights’ every Monday and Tuesday where hospitality workers get a 25% discount on all food.

Bambalan, Colston Street, City Centre

Kids can eat free at Bambalan over the Easter holiday period. You can get one free kid’s meal for every adult main you order and the offer’s available every day. Choose from burgers, kebabs and pizzas.

Izakaya, Apsley Road, Clifton

Japanese sushi and poke restaurant, Izakaya is starting a new sushi lunch service from April 14. It looks like they’ll be serving all of their favourites like sushi rolls, katsu curry and ramen.

They’ll also be introducing their iconic bento boxes for their new lunch service.

Koocha Mezze Bar, Gloucester Road

Koocha on Cheltenham Road

Plant-based restaurant Koocha does delicious Persian mezze plates. They currently have a lunch deal on where you can grab a mini doner with house fries and either tzatziki or chilli sauce. It also comes with a sugar free Karma Cola, Karma Orangeade or Karma raspberry lemonade, all for £12.

The deal is exclusive to Uber Eats so is perfect for a midday treat at work.

Pieminister, St Nicks Market, City Centre

If you want something warm and hearty, Pieminister has new filo pies to try with fillings like harissa chicken, Moroccan spiced carrot and chickpea and spinach and feta.

They’re part of their set pie meals so you can pair with one side for £8.75 or two for £9.95.

Hole in the Wall, Queen Square

Enjoy two courses for £18.95 or three for £22.95 from Monday-Friday, 12-5pm at Hole in the Wall.

Not only do they do traditional pub grub, but they’re also serving an exclusive Chocolate Orange Martini until April 11.

Honest Burgers, City Centre

Honest Burgers has a special ‘Bristol local burger’, a beef and bacon burger with smoked cheddar and cheese curds, shoestring fries, cider and bacon gravy, onion and pickles. You can pick up the burger, which is a collaboration with Westcomb Dairy and Pilton Cider, with a side for £15.20.

Deck Cafe and Restaurant, Gloucester Road

If you’re looking to try something a little bit different, Deck specialises in Hungarian food. Expect goulash, roast pork and beef ragout, with veggie options as well. As part of their weekday lunch time menu, all main dishes are just £11.99 from 11am-6pm.
