Eatchu has opened a new food trailer in Bristol. The Japanese street food specialist has launched an outlet at Wapping Wharf.

Eatchu is known for its dumplings and its selection of gyozas and already has locations at St Nick's Market, the Wiper & True Taproom in St Judes and the Clifton Triangle. The fourth location at Wapping Wharf is on the site of the former Pizzarova and sits between Bagelry Box and Clifton Seafood Company in ‘Cargo 2’.

A concise menu of gyozas and rice bowls is served from a mini airstream trailer from Tuesdays to Saturdays for lunch. Eatchu confirmed that plans are in place to extend opening hours over the summer.

Eatchu applied for a premises licence to serve local and Japanese beers with the food. The application said: “Selling Japanese food to be enjoyed at our benches and tables three metres from the trailer. The purpose of this licence is to allow us to sell local and Japanese beers.”

A spokesperson for Eatchu said: “Eatchu at Wapping Wharf opened a couple of weeks ago. It's a throwback to our early days in April 2016 when we began trading from our gazebo at Harbourside Market, keeping everything simple, fast, and delicious.

“Our pitch is is open for lunch from Tuesday to Saturday. We plan to extend opening hours over the summer. Having opened Eatchu at Clifton Triangle earlier this year, we are now focusing on ensuring all our four sites (and our prep kitchen) are running smoothly, with happy teams providing consistent high levels of food quality and customer experience.”
