B&M has brought back its popular split portion dinner plate that could help you keep on top of your diet, eat healthier and potentially aid in weight loss. The budget retailer is popular for selling various homeware, health and food items at affordable prices.

As part of its latest kitchen range, shoppers can get their hands on the colourful dinner plate that is split into sections. One quarter is labelled 'carbs', another is labelled 'protein' while the rest of the plate is reserved for 'vegetables'.

The plate is designed to help you keep your portion sizes in check, ensuring you're getting a balanced meal every time. When the plate was first shared on social media by B&M before selling out, Facebook user Janet said: "It's brilliant. Does help with portion sizes."

Angie added: "I have some of these. Really good for portion control." Diana wrote: "Excellent very helpful in diets and diabetes." Heidi joked: "I bought this, I need some structure in my life." Angela put: "I've been using it since they were in stock last time. Ideal if you are looking to lose some weight."

However, some shoppers found it difficult to get their hands on one as they kept selling out - hopefully now the plate is back in stock, customers will have more luck. Sue claimed: "This plate sells out quickly I tried getting one when they advertised it before I would like to get one." Loopy added: "Can’t find locally."

B&M isn't the only store selling this type of dinner plate. Elsewhere, you can get a similar-looking one at The Range for £2.99, which "encourages a balanced diet."

There's also Diabetes UK's The Healthy Portion Plate for £8.99. The charity adds: "A key way to weight loss is portion control." The plate has been given a customer rating of 4.7 stars out of five so far.

Or you can get J&M's Divided Slimming Plate on Amazon for £12.89, or you can get two for £21. Its product description reads: "The special design of our Divided Slimming plate allows you to easily control portion size, and provides interesting food suggestions to keep you motivated."

In the reviews, Sassy wrote: "These plates are a god send if you are trying to lose weight." TopGunner added: "Happy with this plate and nice thick material that feels sturdy." Joan put: "So useful re portion sizes - nice design too."

However, Fernanda admitted: "The plate is good but bigger than I imagined." Kirsty said: "Ordered this without realising it’s a plastic plate. For what it is, it’s far too expensive." Liz added: "I didn't like that the plate was expensive for a melamine plate. Had hoped it would be ceramic."
