B&M is selling a perfume that not only is on offer at a budget price, but also smells and looks similar to a popular designer perfume. The bargain retailer is giving buyers the chance to smell 'expensive', without breaking the bank, with its Miss Adora Eau de Toilette.
B&M's Miss Adora perfume is part of its Scent Favourites line and can be bought in stores for £3.99 for a 100ml bottle. Compared to Dior's world-famous Miss Dior Eau de Parfum, which costs £116 for 100ml at Boots, will save shoppers around £112.
Both bottles feature near-identical designs, with B&M's version including a silver bow and a pink bottle - similar to Miss Dior. As for the fragrance itself, both include similar ingredients.
On B&M's website, it states that the top notes of Miss Adora are strawberry, mandarin and orange. Its middle notes are rose and jasmine, while its base notes consist of patchouli, sandalwood, amber, oak mass and vetiver.
As for the designer brand, the top notes are labelled as a 'floral bouquet' and comprise of Lily-of-the-Valley and peony. Its middle note boasts of a "velvety rose". While its base notes include musks, vanilla, Tonka bean and sandalwood.
Comparing the two perfumes together, both are made with rose and sandalwood. B&M describes the £3.99 perfume as "floral and fabulous," and says it is "perfect to wear for most occasions."
While Dior's iconic Miss Dior perfume is said to "bring in a wave of optimism and brims with life." Its fresh and floral notes are "composed like a bouquet of countless flowers with endless sparkling colours."
Elsewhere, Home Bargains released a £1.99 perfume called Ruby Red, which is very similar to top designer perfume Baccarat Rouge 540, which costs £465. Meanwhile, at M&S you can get an alternative version of a Marc Jacobs fragrance, which is £80 less.
If you are on the hunt for a rose and sandalwood perfume, there are plenty on offer. At Cult Beauty, you can get Kayali's Oudgasm Rose Oud perfume for £35. Or there is Estee Lauder's Youth Dew Eau de Parfum spray for £27.99, which includes vetiver, patchouli and rose.
On Amazon you could try the O ud Rose 100ml Eau de Parfum Spray, which is a "blend of sandalwood and fresh roses". Customers have rated the perfume four stars out of five. In the reviews, Kimone said: "Great product and good values for money, scent is really pleasant. Not very long lasting about 2-3hrs."
Teresa added: "I so wanted this to smell and last but alas it didn’t last an hour! The smell was gorgeous but because it didn’t last I would not recommend it." Emma wrote: "Love this and on my second bottle, smells just like black orchid Tom Ford, even though I’m female I wear it and love it."
