The top ranking must-see place in the city in 2023 is Nyhavn which is located in the heart of Copenhagen’s old town. On TripAdvisor the Nyhavn is described as ‘Copenhagen's Nyhaven, or "New Harbour,"’ and ‘is actually steeped in a long heritage.’ With a plethora of ‘colourful buildings’ lining the length of the canal the historical nature is visibly shown including its ‘salty history, rich with sailors drinking and literary exploits’ which included Danish author Hans Christian Andersen.

Another great piece of history previous visitors have recommended is the Rosenborg Castle, a ‘beautiful 400-year-old castle situated in central Copenhagen’s popular park’. Previous visitors have claimed the castle to be ‘interesting with lots and lots of paintings’ and has ‘beautiful gardens and surroundings’.

Or if you're more of a thrill seeker then the Tivoli Gardens may be more to your liking. With ‘more than two dozen rides’ this theme park inspired Walt Disney and has rides for all ages. And the fun doesn’t stop there, throughout the year there are live concerts, light shows and even fireworks for people to enjoy.

And while temperatures in Copenhagen during April average around highs of 11 degrees celsius, a crisp walk or day out is the perfect way to get out and explore all the little corners of the city.
