Find out tonight if Diss mum Hannah Mayhew scoops the top spot in Come Dine With Me contest

A mum-of-two has been appearing on national TV all week after competing in a popular cookery show.

Hannah Mayhew, 41, a cleaner from Diss, filmed the Norfolk round of Come Dine With Me for Channel 4 two years ago.

But the show has only just been aired over five nights this week, with the winner revealed tonight.

For the competition, each contestant cooks a meal for the other four at each of their homes.

They also provide entertainment and a challenge.

“I enjoyed every minute filming the show and watching it this week,” said Hannah.

“I cooked sweet pepper and tomato soup with homemade bread, stuffed pork fillet with paté, asparagus, wrapped in bacon with potato dauphinoise and apple cider sauce, and then lemon mousse with homemade shortbread biscuits for dessert.

“My challenge was to eat as many doughnuts off a washing line in a minute, which the producers said was one of the best they have ever had.

“My episode was shown on Tuesday.

“I think my evening went well – but I’m not allowed to say who won, until the final show has been on TV tonight.”
