Pictures and match report from the final
Locos defeated Buckie Thistle 7-6 on penalties after a 0-0 draw at Kynoch Park, Keith, handing manager Dean Donaldson his first silverware in charge of the Harlaw Park side.
Most of the night’s drama was confined to the shootout - watch video below - with 18 kicks needed before Locos emerged as winners.
The first two kicks (not on video) were converted by Buckie’s Jack Murray and Locos’ Aidan Wilson.
Locos keeper Zack Ellis pulled off his first save of the shootout from Max Barry, with Locos teenager Blair Smith denied by Stuart Knight as the contest went into sudden death.
Ellis took and scored Locos next penalty, one of four successful conversions to make the score 6-6.
Josh Peters struck the bar but Logan Johnstone hit almost exactly the same spot with his kick to win it for Locos, taking it to the ninth penalty each.
Jags’ skipper Sam Pugh forced a brilliant Ellis save and Mark Souter emphatically drilled home the penalty that took the trophy to Harlaw Park for the first time.
