Elevating Critical Care

About us

Quality emergency care doesn’t begin in the hospital emergency room – it begins at the scene of the accident or the moment a life-threatening illness strikes. Air Methods has a talented workforce of over 4,500 team members, which includes the best in the air medical industry. We are pilots, clinicians, mechanics, air communications specialists, support teams and many more. We’re ready to answer the call because we know someone’s life is on the line. We dedicate ourselves around the clock to maintain equipment and supplies, coordinate logistics and relentlessly provide the tools and expertise that allow us to give more tomorrows. From the front lines to the phone lines, we believe our status as the industry leader – and the importance we place on our mission statement and core values – allow us to attract the highest level of talented professionals. More than 20% of our team members are U.S. veterans, active duty or in the reserves. Our comprehensive aviation, clinical and maintenance training is as robust as it is intense. And our continuous curriculum of learning and simulation-based training is unmatched in the industry. We are ready to save lives at every moment of every day, with over 300 bases of operations serving 48 states. In rural communities, that kind of reach of care is crucial. Emergency air medical transport and treatment is often the only access to lifesaving emergency care they have – providing access to millions of people who otherwise would not have been able to make it to a trauma center. We also operate eight maintenance centers of excellence throughout the nation and a national communications center. Although we call Greenwood Village, Colorado, home, we are only a call away.

One week ago, ARCH 3 in Effingham celebrated 20 years of providing lifesaving service to people throughout South Central Illinois. They were joined by past and present teammates, community members, and partners. The team was also joined by former patients, all of whom needed their critical care. Happy anniversary, ARCH 3! 🎉Your unwavering commitment to the community is evident.

Fixed wing pilots, looking to work with amazing people? Look no further than our LifeSave 10 Liberal KS. Meet Travel Flight Medic Celena Petrucci (left) and Travel Flight Nurse Lauren Batliner (right), both of whom serve the community at this base. They are highly-skilled clinicians who enjoy their time on and off the job. Batliner loves to be outdoors with her German Shepherd, being with her friends and family, and is an incredible baker. Petrucci enjoys watching Braves baseball, going to NHRA drag races to help her friend’s Pro Stock Motorcycle team, and anything outdoors like hunting and fishing. Batliner has been a nurse for the past five years and flying with LifeSave for the past year. “I have been flying with LifeSave 10 for almost two years and it is the best job EVER,” said Petrucci, who started her EMS career more than 25 years ago. While the hard work and dedication of nurses shines every day of the year, National Nurses Week (May 6 – 12) gives us a special opportunity to recognize all they do for their patients. Nurses are the backbone of our healthcare system. They work long hours, often in challenging conditions, and always put their patients first. From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to thank all the flight nurses who are part of the Air Methods family, as well as all nurses nationwide who make a difference in the lives of their patients. #NationalNursesWeek #We❤️OurNurses #AirMethods

It is ok to not be ok, and asking for help isn’t giving up. In case you missed it, our AMPED podcast in February, “Asking For Help Isn’t Giving Up,” is worth a listen. 💚 Listen to it here: bit.ly/4bGyC34
