While meeting with clients, we get many questions regarding the different possibilities our solutions offer. Here are five of them that will help you get started. 👇🏻 - Can I also see the bookings in a calendar view? Yes, the bookings to your terminals and loading areas can be seen in a calendar. You can have an overview of all your bookings or filter out exactly these terminals and areas currently important to your workflow. - Can you see the truck's estimated arrival time and communicate with the driver? If the driver is using the mobile app, the terminal will see the estimated arrival time, and with filters, it can show whether the truck is early, on time, late, or has not arrived. You can send messages to the driver through SMS, e-mail, push notifications, or WhatsApp. As an advantage, all the notification logs will also be archived. A chat with the transportation company through our solution is also possible, and all the conversation logs will be saved. - If I have integrations with your solution for barrier opening with ANPR cameras or gate controllers, how does it work with my employees or cooperation partners? If you have an office area with a barrier close to the terminal, you can control this also through GoSwift’s solution. You can give permanent permissions (for example, for employees and partners) or limited-time permissions (for guests and visitors). - How does it work with different loading areas and timeslots? The system is very flexible and can be managed according to your needs. You can easily make new timeslots for different loading areas by dragging and dropping them to a certain day, week, or month. This way, it’s possible to have a different schedule for each day. In case it’s necessary, adding a new loading area is also possible. - What if I have many terminals in different locations? Do I need separate solutions for each one? No. You can manage them all in one platform. The view for the users can be limited to only those who need to see a particular terminal. Our goal is to help you with a seamless traffic flow. If you are looking for swift operations in your logistics processes, get in touch with Viljar Avastu: [email protected] #GoSwift #Terminals #Logistics #Automation

Do you have a terminal or a production and many trucks driving through daily? Multiple trucks often arrive simultaneously, creating chaos and queues on your territory as no planning system is implemented. You are losing valuable time and money. Sounds familiar? 🚛 If you want things to run more smoothly, you’ll need to adopt some new systems. Imagine having an arrival scheduling solution where vehicles can make a reservation to receive a permit to access your territory. The gate automatically grants access to the reserved vehicle at the scheduled time. Those who don’t have a prior registration can register themselves at the gate via a self-service kiosk. After that, they will proceed to the live queue, and your logistics specialist will be notified of their arrival. With queue management, your logistics team will have a dashboard where they can modify schedules, inform drivers and partner logistics via notifications, and quickly call vehicles for loading. Logistics have an overview of all vehicles and drivers and real-time location statuses. Navigation within closed territory can be tricky. Different solutions can be used to organize it in a better way. One is the ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) or RFID (radio frequency identification). But sometimes, ANPR, for example, might not work perfectly (when a dirty number plate is not readable). With an application, however, enabling permission is quick and easy. Last but not least, enabling driver guidance through an application and/or colorful LED signs on the territory will reduce the possibility of chaotic scenarios. With the yard management solution, the driver will know which loading or parking spot they should approach, which makes the on-site traffic secure and efficient. Ensuring safety at the territory for both workers and visitors is necessary. If the terminal has specific safety and security regulations, these can also be integrated so drivers can review and agree to comply with the terminal rules. How do you manage these challenges as a company with multiple terminals? 🤔 #GoSwift #terminals #logistics #automation

People often have questions about the process when you start working with us. Though we have different solutions, how we work with you can be generalized into the following steps. 👇🏻 As a first step, we kick things off with a face-to-face meeting to grasp the full scope of your needs. Understanding your in-house processes helps us tailor hardware, software, and seamless integration solutions. After that, you’ll get a comprehensive proposal with all the details needed for a successful solution integration. Once you’ve confirmed your intention to move forward with us, the next step is creating the software development plan. This includes both technical and development projects. The initial process assessment (as well as the location visit if necessary) guides us in determining the extent of technical updates or changes required at your existing terminal. When the new solution is ready, the implementation and training processes start. This is often the most challenging part, as people have their habits and are used to doing things in a certain way. Integrating our solutions changes that and forces them to learn new ways. This, however, is a good thing as, in the long run, it makes the work and processes smoother, less time-consuming, and more effective. We are committed to constantly analyzing and enhancing the solution you implemented. In case of any issues, our team reacts swiftly to solve them. Please also keep in mind that it’s always possible to upgrade if you start with the basic solution and realize you’ll need a more complex system. Not sure where to start? In the fast-paced world of logistics, the key to staying ahead is to evolve with the times. We asked two experts, Ahti Sõõrde from CF&S Estonia and Tõnis Namm from Nordkalk, what their take on digitizing logistics processes is and why it is not just a trend but a strategic imperative. You can look at automation from different aspects. One approach is automating processes between the service provider and the customer through an interface. Another option is to do these things internally within the company. Mapping out company processes and establishing routines makes it easier to work more efficiently. Both Ahti and Tõnis say that, essentially, you need to understand what the problem is and what kind of automation is necessary if you are looking at the bigger picture. When automating a process, it is important to know what the future will bring and whether what is being automated today can also be updated if necessary. Having mapped all processes in detail, it is possible to determine what is value-creating, supporting, or simply wasting resources. Those that waste resources should be eliminated, and those that support them can be improved. Although the goal is to be more efficient, you must know that automation doesn’t happen overnight. In the beginning, as Ahti believes, the construction and implementation of the system require significantly more resources and may take several years to recover this investment. But when the purpose of digitization is to simplify and reduce the time needed for human labor, it is worth it. Tõnis expects, thanks to automation, more predictable behavior in the future and, with it, more effective work planning and, thus, a reduction in costs. In conclusion, the digitization of logistics is not merely a technological upgrade; it's a strategic necessity for businesses looking to thrive in a rapidly evolving landscape. But you’ll need to make smart decisions and decide what processes are worth to be digitized and where you can make other adjustments for things to run smoother. #GoSwift #logistics #production #digitization #automation

The GoSwift team is thankful for all our cooperation partners and customers helping us on our journey to a greener environment. ✨ Keeping that in mind, please take a moment to think about how much driving is needed during the holiday season. Is it essential to rush in the busiest time of the year and drive thousands of kilometers to visit every partner or client in December? It would be much better if we collectively agree that this time of the year should primarily be dedicated to our families and loved ones without rushing. For the next year, let’s get better at planning and scheduling all the work-related visits for earlier time slots. 💡 Wishing you all happy upcoming holidays! 🎄

Sustainable transportation is the future of transportation. Here are some of the key areas that are currently being developed. 🚚🌱 🔶CO2 emissions & electrification: As truck traffic still remains a significant contributor to pollution, electrification of the trucks offers a solution. However, the journey to net-zero by 2050 demands strategic planning. Greener routes and fleet management tools might be a good starting point. 🔶Autonomous cars: Overcoming challenges with autonomous cars requires public readiness. Hamburg, Germany, leads the way by planning to integrate 10,000 autonomous vehicles by 2030, emphasizing collaboration with various manufacturers for success. 🔶Innovative charging solutions: Lithuania's award-winning solution - transforming street lighting poles into multifunctional charging points for electric cars. Would that work in your country as well? 🔶ADMIRAL Project is an EU initiative focusing on AI-driven solutions for logistics supply chains. It aims to reduce emissions, enhance transparency, and foster stakeholder cooperation. We’ve been part of a Finnish pilot with our Truck Appointment System (TAS). 🔶eCMR and eFTI: These electronic solutions are the future transport documentation. Overcoming the challenge lies not only in digitalization but in changing mindsets. Discover how GoSwift Solutions facilitates this transformation. If you’d like to know more, especially regarding the two last points, leave your questions in the comments or DM us. Let’s discuss this in more detail! #GoSwift #SustainableTransportation #InnovationInLogistics #GreenMobility
