It has been a pleasure to collaborate with the dedicated team at Bermuda Hospitals Board to implement the Johns Hopkins Activity & Mobility Promotion (JH-AMP) program. By fostering a collaborative culture of #mobility, we hope to continue to improve patient engagement and experience in #Bermuda and beyond.
If you are admitted to hospital, we will work with you to set daily mobility goals as part of the Johns Hopkins Medicine Activity & Mobility Promotion (JH-AMP) programme that launched at BHB last June. Our nurses and nursing aides work with patients and families to make daily activity a part of every inpatient's recovery. Keeping active in hospital will maintain your physical and mental wellbeing, and reduce the risks of pressure injuries (bed sores) and blood clots, while reducing length of stay. Remember: bed rest is bad! So let's make sure everybody moves every day during their hospital stay. Pictured are mobility advocates from the Catlin Lindo Acute Care Inpatient Unit.
