Our Chair Mark McAllister visited Citizens Advice Cardiff & Vale in Barry this week, talking to staff about the challenges that local people face with energy usage and affordability. Visits and roundtable discussions like these help us to develop a better understanding of consumer needs and implement schemes like the Involuntary Prepayment Meter (PPM) Code of Practice, and the Consumer Standards project. Charities like Citizens Advice play an important role in helping us to spread awareness of what support is available for consumers, and also what is acceptable and unacceptable practices from energy companies.
