    Hiring sales is different from hiring any other position. Why? Recruiting shifts when you have to vet out the soft skills required for sales, rather than matching resumes with open positions. Hard skills are easier to find as they are 'measurable' and soft skills are not; a lot more strategy, preparation, and intentionality are required to seek out the soft skills needed for sales roles. We have placed numerous candidates that weren't a fit on paper but were a strong fit for the actual role. A resume never tells the whole story.

    Does your LinkedIn profile matter more than your resume?🧐 Jury's still out but here are 3️⃣ benefits of a LinkedIn profile over a resume⬇️ 1. Your LinkedIn profile can be updated in real time. Just made P-Club or hit 150% to quota for the quarter? Your LinkedIn profile can reflect live updates, while resumes become outdated quickly. 2. LinkedIn is a search engine - recruiters looking for specific skills can find you quickly from a simple search. 3. The info recruiters need is in the same spot on everyone's LinkedIn profile. They can quickly look at your profile to see if you'd be a good fit instead of searching through your resume for the right info. Resumes definitely still matter, but LinkedIn has quickly become more a more efficient way to get in front of the right people.

    Would you accept a job solely based on a job description? (Hopefully the answer is no) The same is true on the other side - you shouldn't hire or disqualify someone solely based on their resume. Especially when it comes to sales, a resume will never tell you everything you need to know about a person. It takes time to vet out someone's intangibles skills, core values, and cultural fit to know if they would make a great hire or not.

    Hiring managers - you are being interviewed too! As a hiring manager, A-Player candidates will be interviewing you back to see if this company - and team - is right for them. It's your job to sell the opportunity to the candidate as much as the candidate is selling themselves to the job. Interviewing should always be a two-way street.
