Sodium phenylbutyrate-taurursodiol (PB-TURSO), a drug approved in 2022 by the FDA for patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), was withdrawn from the market after a trial in 664 patients with ALS failed to confirm its efficacy at 48 weeks.
