Keeping this theme all week... polypharmacy in pediatrics. Any time we add a drug... can we max it out before adding another? If the drug isn't working...should we take it off before adding another? Children with medical complexities commonly are on multiple benzodiazepines... ahhh no 😫😫. One easy way Perfecting Peds avoids polypharmacy is using and maximizing the baclofen before adding the diazepam esp in the setting of clonazepam or clobazam for seizure control.
