Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon has been flooded with support as she responded to the messages she's received after revisiting 'painful memories' away from the cobbles.

The actress recently returned to the ITV soap where she plays Bethany Platt but as well as appearing in the long-running show, Lucy is also giving soap fans a glimpse into her personal life in ITVBe's new reality series.

She has joined the likes of former Corrie co-star Ellie Leach, Emmerdale actress Amy Walsh and Hollyoaks' Jamelia in Drama Queens which has been set across Manchester and the North West and aims to show the real lives of the actresses as they star in the biggest long-running show in the country.

In the latest episode aired on Wednesday night (April 24), Lucy was seen preparing for her son Sonny Jude's first birthday party, which took place in February. She then bravely opened up about suffering a miscarriage before falling pregnant with her son.

Lucy and her footballer boyfriend went public with their relationship in June 2021. Their romance blossomed in lockdown after they had got talking on the celebrity dating app, Raya. They then announced in September 2022 that Lucy, from Blackpool, was pregnant with her and Ryan's first child and was already five months pregnant.

But their happy news came after Lucy suffered a tragic miscarriage back in March 2022. A teary-eyed Lucy recounted her first pregnancy in front of the cameras and said: "In the first year that me and Ryan were together I fell pregnant for the first time."

Lucy emotionally opened up about the couple's loss

She said that they were "really excited," before adding: "And we booked a scan and we ... I feel like I'm gonna get upset." She took a moment to compose herself before she continued: "We went for the first scan and I didn't expect that anything would be wrong and [the nurse] told us that there was no heartbeat. That the baby had died."

Following the episode, Lucy was inundated with messages of love and support and on Thursday evening (April 25), the soap star reflected on the response and celebrated where her life is now with an adorable photo of Ryan and Sonny at his first birthday party.

Alongside an infinity sign emoji and a dove emoji, Lucy said "us" before continuing to type: "Thank you so much for all your gorgeous messages about last nights ep of @dramaqueensitv. We had a super difficult start to 2022 and talking about it brings back a lot of painful memories.

"I’m equally comforted and heartbroken to know so many of you can relate to our situation. We have been so lucky to create our little family and I feel very grateful every single day to be in the position that we are in. I know for a lot of people it can be very different."
