24's third day marks the series' most ruthless season yet with a breathless race to avert chemical catastrophe, a myriad of shocking surprises, and an unnerving disregard for treating any character as safe.

Dave C The best Day yet! Jack is a little less constipated, Kim is a little less irritating, and the story is a whole lot tighter in its execution of thrills and unseen plot twists… and let's be honest, they're not usually disguised too well Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/12/23 Full Review Brett R A time jump of three years after a truly stunning twist in the final minutes of Day 2 did not serve the franchise well, and finally revealed the writers to be human, but remains so disappointing after a near flawless first 48 episodes. Yes, yes, how realistic can this show really be? But the Bondian virus the writers came up is frustratingly unrealistic, more sci-fi than the compelling threats of Days 1 and 2, and did NOT age well in the wake of COVID-19. Definitely must see, with killer twists and perhaps the best third act in the franchise, so a 8/10 is a fair score. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/18/23 Full Review Audience Member 24 just keeps getting better and better in its third season with great acting, subplots that last only as long as they need to, sequences filled with suspenseful direction, actually giving Kim something to do in the A-story (setting aside how some found it difficult to swallow that Kim working for CTU seems to clash with her characterisation in the last two seasons. The 3-year timeskip excuse will only get you so far. Though at least she spends nearly the entire season holed up in CTU where she can't get into any meaningless trouble), a story that, in 2020, hits uncomfortably close to home and a death scene that's one of the most powerful moments in the show. In short, this is the season that truly solidified 24's position back in its heyday as one of the best TV shows that's an absolute must-watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review steve d Incredibly intense and powerfully acted day 3 is a must watch for fans and keeps them on the edge of their seat. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member This season was freakin' awesome. Loved it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Like most television, 24 is about social engineering. The entertainment value of watching out for its embedded messages makes it a 5/5. As far as good fiction, it's a 2.5-3 at best. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Robert Bianco USA Today 24 has rediscovered its footing and is preparing to shock, thrill and hook us with some of its best twists yet. Rated: 3.5/54 Nov 15, 2018 Full Review William Thomas Empire Magazine It's unclear how long the producers can keep pulling the same trick, but for now there's enough magic in the formula to make all the gumption-swallowing worthwhile Rated: 4/5 Oct 18, 2017 Full Review Brian Lowry Variety Initially dismissed by some as a questionable gimmick, 24 has become an accomplished exercise in storytelling that takes full advantage of the television form. Sep 22, 2017 Full Review David Hogan hoganreviews.co.uk While a focus on the potential spread of a deadly virus were off-putting in 2004 let alone now in 2021, it doesn't do too much to damage to a fun twenty-four hours of 24. Rated: 4/5 Nov 8, 2021 Full Review Rob Owen Pittsburgh Post-Gazette 24 has become a shadow of its former self, substituting pointless violence where surprising plot twists used to suffice. This year's story has yet to become edge-of-your-seat entertainment and none of the new characters make much of an impact. May 3, 2019 Full Review Jim McMahon IGN Movies That 24 was willing to dispatch with established characters to move the story ahead shows the confidence the writers had that there was more where that came from.
