This gelding showed ability in two starts on the Flat in Ireland as a juvenile, notably when second in a good maiden at the Curragh. He was off the track for 18 months and moved to the yard of David O’Meara before making a winning debut in Britain at this track last month, putting up a useful effort.
New Image was only third at Wolverhampton last time but the strength of his finish there – and his breeding – suggests that this step up in distance will suit. Already proven at this track and still open to plenty of improvement, he can get back to winning ways.
