STUDENTS from Worle Community School Academy have been rewarded for their hard work and dedication at an awards ceremony.
The Oscar-style celebration was held at the Winter Gardens on Weston's seafront.
Pupils won awards for their fantastic academic achievements, as well as their positive attitudes and good deeds.
At the glitzy evening, there was wonderful signing and music from students Ginny Rulli-Gibbs and Emily Ritchie. Ginny also won the principal’s award for Outstanding Contribution to School Life.
Guest speakers included former student, Jack Clark, the founder of the Climate Justice Revolution (CJR).
Steven Luatua, Bristol Bears player, was another guest speaker.
Principal Mark Tidman said: "This was a terrific evening, with so many incredible students being acknowledged for their brilliance.
“We want every student to reach their full potential and rewarding both attainment and effort is very important to us. Rewards are a big part of our successful school.
“We really do want to continue to praise our young people and we thank parents, carers and students for their continued involvement and support of WCSA.”
