A WESTON theatre company is hosting its 15th anniversary production this year.

RE:ACT Performing & Production Arts, based in Weston's We Are Super, is coming to The McMillan Theatre in Bridgwater between July 11 and July 13 to showcase their rendition of Disney's iconic Beauty and the Beast.

RE:ACT has students based in Clevedon, Weston, Cheddar, Burnham-on-Sea and Bristol. Expert tutors help pupils build confidence and grow their skills.

The show's description on The McMillan Theatre's website reads: "Be our guest at RE:ACT Performing & Production Arts’ 15th anniversary production, Disney's Beauty and the Beast, the award-winning sensation that continues to reign as a beloved classic, captivating hearts around the globe! 

"Step into a magical world where the timeless tale of love and redemption unfolds in all its glory as we follow the courageous Belle, a bright and adventurous young woman.

"When her father becomes lost in the forest and stumbles upon an abandoned castle, Belle bravely ventures forth to rescue him, only to find herself imprisoned by the fearsome Beast, the castle's cursed master.

"She encounters a colourful cast of enchanted objects; through their guidance and friendship, Belle begins to see beyond the Beast's fearsome exterior, discovering the kind and gentle soul that lies within.

"But time is running out, as the curse that binds the Beast and his servants grows stronger with each passing day.

"As she navigates the castle's spiralling halls, she discovers that true beauty lies within, and that love has the power to transform even the darkest of hearts.

"Featuring iconic tunes such as ‘Gaston’ and ‘If I can’t love her’, experience the magic of Beauty and the Beast, a tapestry of romance, adventure, and enchantment that will capture the hearts of audiences young and old alike."

The theatre company's website adds: "We welcome students (aged 4 - 19) to train in performing and production arts.

"We do not only create performers, but writers, directors, choreographers and designers. This training is taught by expert, qualified, Enhanced DBS checked and first aid trained tutors who help to build confidence, increase interpersonal skills and create team players.

"Our ethos is to combine affordability, inclusivity and high quality, however, RE:ACT Performing & Production Arts' main aim is to have fun!"

The cost of the tickets are £16 for standard and £15 for under 16's.
