Floyd Mayweather and rapper Lil Uzi Vert 'sued over alleged street brawl in New York City'

Floyd Mayweather and Lil Uzi Vert have been sued over an alleged street brawl by a man in New York last year, as he filed a lawsuit for 'unspecified damages,' according to TMZ.

The man - Abdullah Ali - claims to have been badly beaten up by the rapper following a clash of words with Mayweather's Money Team (TMT) over footage of a Rolls-Royce being unloaded from a trailer that belonged to the retired boxer, 47, on June 27, 2023.

The fight reportedly took place near an NYC hotel, where the trailer was parked.

Ali's celebrity attorneys, Matthew Bilt and Michael Rose, told the outlet that Ali had been spotted by Uzi and TMT members after crossing a street for a better view of the sports car.

Ali added that he was roughed up by at least 10 men - including Lil Uzi - as they all took turns kicking and punching him for more than a minute.

US rapper Lil Uzi Vert reportedly took part in the brawl last year, as well, according to TMZ

However, Uzi's camp is adamant that the alleged victim wrongly identified the 'XO TOUR Llif3' hitmaker, telling TMZ: 'Lil Uzi doesn't know Floyd Mayweather or have any form of affiliation with Mayweather's Money Team, and was not at the site of the alleged incident. '

It remains unclear if Mayweather took part in the brawl and clashed with the man, Ali's attorneys told the outlet.

Ali reportedly emerged with knocked-out teeth from the incident, according to his lawyers.

He was also required to go to hospital over some ailments that needed treatment.

No arrests were made in relation to the fight, despite Ali reporting the incident to police.
