Barstool boss Dave Portnoy defends Taylor Swift amid Dave Grohl beef over her 'live' performances on her Eras Tour

Barstool Sports founder and owner Dave Portnoy has come to side with Taylor Swift over her beef with Dave Grohl after the Foo Fighters frontman suggested that she doesn't sing live.

The 47-year-old businessman and social media personality, who's never shied away from questions on his love for T-Swift, is defending the pop queen following Groh's swipe at her over the weekend, in which he dubbed her sold-out 'Eras Tour' as the 'errors' tour while also pointing out that his band 'actually play live.'

'Listen, I like Dave Groh. I'm a Dave Grohl guy,' Portnoy told TMZ at first after being asked about his thoughts on the rock n roller 'going after his girl.'

'If the Swifties come for his throat, burn down his house... That's what happens when you come after the Swifties in the middle of a concert... I don't know why you would want to light that fuse...

'I do think she sings as well live. But listen, that's Dave Grohl. I like Dave Grohl. I like the Foo Fighters. I don't know why you take that shot. Don't cry to me if they come after you,' he added in a warning to the guitarist.

Taylor responded to the Foo Fighters singer by emphasizing that her band always performs live

Swift responded to Grohl during her final concert in London on Sunday at Wembley by introducing her band to the sold-out crowd as she emphasized that her musicians were playing live for the full three-and-a-half-hour show.

She told the audience: 'What you just did is an unforgettable moment in not just my life, but every very single one of our crew. The band that's going to be playing live for you for three and a half hours tonight.

'They deserve this so much and so does every one of my fellow performers, and you just gave that to us so generously. We'll never forget it.'

On Saturday night, Grohl took a dig at Swift and her Eras Tour, suggesting that the Grammy Award-winning artist lip sings during her gigs.

He told fans at his London Stadium concert: 'We were joking about the Taylor Swift tour earlier. I know that she's on her ''errors'' tour.

'I tell you man, you don't want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift. So we like to call our tour the Errors Tour.

'We've had more than a few eras, and more than a few f***ing errors as well. Just a couple.'

The band leader clarified: 'That's because we actually play live. What?'

Some fans suggested that Grohl's attack was partly fueled by abuse faced by his daughter from Swifties - Taylor Swift's fans.

Violet Grohl previously criticized Swift for flying between concert stops in a private jet.
